The Project

In September 2014, two Sydney-based entrepreneurs – Steve Fanale and Johnny Timbs – established DriveYello.

DriveYello is a disruptive tech start-up providing services and software aiming to revolutionise how drivers in the food industry are sourced, managed and paid.

The Challenge

DriveYello needed assistance with sourcing a CTO and a number of software developers with specific skill sets.

This newly formed team would be tasked with building, developing and deploying an innovative technology platform to achieve their business goals.

Big Wave Digital partnered with the CEO of Drive Yello to source the best possible technical talent to help build his business.

The Solution

The Big Wave team immediately established business requirements and our specialised recruitment project methodology.

In doing so, we:

  • Conducted detailed and through job briefing sessions with the CEO.
  • Assisted and advised writing the Job Description for the CTO role to pin down functional requirements and to attract top talent.
  • Implemented our unique Big Wave Digital recruitment process to source, screen, interview and present the most suitable technical staff.

Outcomes

Big Wave Digital successfully placed the CTO and a team of outstanding software developers, sourced both in Australia and in the UK.
