The Role

Reporting to the Head of Front-End Engineering, you’ll join a cross-functional squad of designers, product owners, and back-end engineers to build performant, secure, and accessible web applications for a portfolio of tier-one clients. You’ll own front-end architecture decisions, champion best practice, and mentor mid-level developers while remaining hands-on with code.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement responsive user interfaces with HTML, CSS/SCSS, and modern JavaScript (React, Vue, or Angular)
• Optimise performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility for enterprise-grade applications
• Contribute to solution architecture alongside UX, DevOps, and backend teams
• Enforce clean code principles, automated testing, and robust CI/CD pipelines
• Stay current with emerging front-end trends and advocate for continuous improvement across projects
• Guide and up-skill junior engineers through code reviews and pair programming

Ideal Candidate

• 3 + years’ commercial front-end experience delivering large-scale web applications
• Deep expertise in React, Vue, or Angular, plus solid TypeScript knowledge
• Comfortable with Git, CI/CD, containerised workflows, and Agile delivery
• Appreciation for design systems, component libraries, and accessibility standards (WCAG)
• Clear communicator who can translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Passion for elegant UI, performance tuning, and engineering excellence
• Mandarin, Chinese Speaker
